Steve Crandall and Woodland Lodge


Steve Crandall, manager of Turtle River State Park, explains the process that was involved in moving the historic Woodland Lodge to higher ground after a summer flood in 2000. Today, only the original stone fireplace remains where the lodge once stood. The lodge (background) was dismantled board by board and rebuilt on higher ground.(Brad Dokken, Herald staff)
