Leon Osowski (left) and his son, Wes, will fly this restored 1946 Cessna 140 today from Grafton, N.D., to Kodiak, Alaska. The plane originally belonged to Leon’s father, Edwin, who bought it new in 1946, and was recently sold back to the Osowski family.
