David was a wonderful medical colleague. He rendered skilled services to my patients, myself and family over many years For which I owe him a deep debt of gratitude. The patients circumstances were never of concern to David. One phone call with all the details was all that was required. The patient then always received the best of care no matter the situation. That kind of collegial relationship was and is priceless. In gratitude from a very grateful colleague.

I loved David.. As all of us hanged out at Whitey's before the flood.. I remember him as being a stream of a person who had his thoughts on what is right on many peoples rights.. He was a person with a insight of almost everything.. Most of the time he was correct.... If you people want to talk about the fun being around him.. He had more jokes than Bob Hope could ever have.. David and I went golfing once in a while and I could never learn without him that a 9 iron club and a putter was the most important iron to play with.. My heart goes out to his family... His son Dana turned out to be one of the most important in GF.. That means that whoever David had as a friend was a lifelong friend indeed.. He has taught us all how to enjoy life as it did.. I will miss him..

When I was a new young dentist in GF Dave was always there to help or answer a question or just give a pat on the back. I'm sure he never once turned his back on a fellow dentist and had the respect of each and every dentist he ever came in contact with. We dentists are all better people for having known him. To Ann and the boys you are in our thoughts and prayers and be aware Dave will always be missed but NEVER forgotten. Bill and Pam Olson

We used to play "winter football" on Lincoln Park Golf Course and then head over to Dave's parents house on S. Chestnut Street for hot chocolate and assorted goodies. I was two grades behind Dave at Central, but the Seniors adopted me as "Little Kope". Dave was a class guy with high moral character and a lot of fun to hang out with in high school. It has been many years since our paths crossed. I wish to express my deepest sympathy to Dave's immediate family and all who were lucky enough to have known him. Mike Koppenhaver
