THE EATBEAT: Mexican Village features a long history and a unique menu

In a way, Mexican Village is an institution in Grand Forks. When it was opened by Bob Mora on South Third Street in 1961, it was the first Mexican eatery here. When it moved to South Washington Street in 1964, it was so popular that there were long lines almost nightly.
