Taking out the trash
It’s been 15 years, but Grand Forks is close to taking out its trash. The city recently approved a $1.3 million bid to close 31 acres of the 180-acre regional landfill this year. That will leave 21 acres of usable space left for the landfill, which is slated to close in October after 43 years at the current site.By: By Matt Cory, Herald Staff Writer
