4 questions with Robbie BinaAfter putting together eight- and nine-point seasons your first two years at UND, you have emerged as the top-scoring WCHA defenseman. Have you always been an offensive player? Not really. In high school, I was a solid defenseman. I'd get a point every once in a while but not a point a night or anything. In juniors, I started getting a few more points here and there, but nothing like the last couple of years. What's been the difference? I think I've just been getting some bounces. Some things I didn't try to do still happened - someone else was able to put a loose puck in or a shot went off someone and in. I've played a little better and I'm seeing the ice a little more. But I think I've just had some bounces here and there. Do you feel like you've learned the right times to pinch? That's part of getting older and more comfortable out there. You read plays a little better. You see the ice a little better and you're able to find a couple of holes. How do you feel about your first half of the season? I've still managed to get a few points and help out the team, but it would be nice to get a few more goals. I've hit a couple of pipes, hit some legs in front of the net. I've just got to keep plugging away.
