Jane Elizabeth PasleyJane Elizabeth Pasley, age 43, Grand Forks, passed away August 13, 2013 with loved ones by her side at St. Cloud Hospital of cardiac arrest. She was found by family members while on their yearly family vacation, in her cabin at Evergreen Lodge, on Woman Lake. This was Jane's favorite place in the world and she had been vacationing there with her family her whole life.
Jane was born on August 26, 1969 in Grand Forks, the daughter of Robert and Nancy Pasley. She began dancing at her mother’s studio at age three and was teaching her own classes by age 15. Dancing and teaching dance were her passions and countless children benefited from her spirited, fun-loving style. Jane not only taught them how to dance, but how to find joy in it and life in general. Countless Facebook postings and messages from current and former students attest to her changing lives through her teaching. She graduated from Grand Forks Red River High School in 1988. Personally, Jane was raising four children with the same joy and devotion. She spent countless hours attending sporting events, pulling the kids tubing and just enjoying her equally spirited children. Jane also shepherded her youngest and only daughter, Jeana, through 82 surgeries to treat a narrowing in her windpipe. She did so while maintaining her wonderful sense of humor- always ready to let her infectious laugh loose at the dumbest of jokes, particularly those of her brother- even when they were at her expense. Jane will be deeply missed at the dance studio, by all her friends and particularly by her family. Her final message would be for everyone to keep dancing and smiling.
