Willard Hanson was born July 25, 1937 in Hatton, ND the son of Melvin and Malina (Heskin) Hanson. He grew up in Hatton and attended Country School in Hatton and Reynolds, ND. He worked on farms in the Hatton and Reynolds, ND area for many years. He served in the US Army from 1961-1963. He moved to Grand Forks where he worked for Kmart for many years.
