Richard Perry Kringen

Richard (Dick) Kringen, age 76, passed away on January 10, 2013 at Rolling Hills Health Center of Topeka, KS.

Dick was born April 4, 1936, the son of Perry and Bernice (Hagen) Kringen. Growing up in Grand Forks he graduated from Central High School in 1954 serving as president of his class. He attended UND for two years playing freshman football and belonging to the TKE fraternity, but left college to join the Marines at Twentynine Palms, CA, earning the rank of Corporal. In California he met and married Alaine (Casebier) Kringen in 1958 and they were married 29 years. Dick returned to UND graduating with a B.S. in Education and eventually a M.S. in Education Administration. He primarily taught 5th grade and physical education in Lawrence, KS and at Belmont, Lincoln, and Kelly Elementary Schools in Grand Forks. Dick left teaching to pursue Health & Wellness opportunities in Orlando and Topeka.
