Grand Forks leaders seek tax break for renters, loan-forgiveness for child-care workers

The Grand Forks City Council has identified lack of affordable housing and lack of child-care workers as an issue for the city. About half of city residents are renters and they have not enjoyed tax relief as homeowners have, said Council member Bret Weber told state lawmakers.
