Debora Loeck was born July 30, 1950 in Grand Forks, ND the daughter of Cameron and Marjorie (Humble) Nelson. She grew up in East Grand Forks and graduated from East Grand Forks Senior High School. She married Darrel Loeck in East Grand Forks on September 11, 1971. They lived in Balaton, MN where she farmed with her husband, lived until moving back to East Grand Forks in 1987. She started her own wholesale clothing embroidery business in 1996. She farmed in the East Grand Forks area until they moved to Tenstrike, MN in 2004.
