Glen was born on February 22, 1920, at the home of his grandmother in Grafton, ND to Henry and Olive (Hall) Gunderson. He grew up in rural Hoople, ND and was confirmed at Park Center rural church. He attended rural school and graduated from Hoople High School, then attended NDAC for the short course in agriculture. In 1939, he moved to Bathgate where the family resided, farmed and still owns farmland. From March of 1942 to November of 1945, he served in the US Navy. Glen served as an Armed Guard & was discharged as a Gunner Mate 2nd class. On February 14, 1948, he married May Morrison in Bathgate, ND.

Glen Gunderson, 92, of Cavalier, ND passed away on January 12, 2013, at the Borg Pioneer Home in Mountain. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at the Bathgate Presbyterian Church, Bathgate, ND at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 15th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service and Masonic service, at the Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND Interment Bathgate Cemetery, Bathgate, ND.Glen was born on February 22, 1920, at the home of his grandmother in Grafton, ND to Henry and Olive (Hall) Gunderson.
