Gene Roebuck named the Herald's Sportsperson of the Year

Minutes after Seattle University beat UND in the opening round of the Women’s Basketball Invitational in March, North Dakota coach Gene Roebuck calmly was sitting on the trainer’s table inside the Connolly Center. After 25 years in charge of UND women’s basketball, Roebuck had coached his last game.
