Vivienne was born on March 26, 1929 at the family farm near Mallory, MN, to Joseph and Laura (Street) Gordon. She worked on the farm and in Crookston, MN and Grand Forks, ND, until August 29, 1954 when she married Elmer Swanson. The couple lived and farmed near Niagara, ND. Later, they moved into Larimore. Mr. Swanson preceded her in death on June 26, 1999. She remained in Larimore, most recent years as a resident of the Larimore Good Samaritan Home.

Vivienne Swanson, age 83, of Larimore, ND, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the Northwood, ND, Deaconess Health Center.Vivienne was born on March 26, 1929 at the family farm near Mallory, MN, to Joseph and Laura (Street) Gordon.
