Winter weather advisory until 9 a.m. for much of northwest Minnesota

Freezing rain is expected to end early this morning over northwest Minnesota, but not before continued light snow from Warroad to Baudette, leaving totals of 1 to maybe 2 inches, the National Weather Service office in Grand Forks says. The freezing rain will affect areas from Fosston to Bemidji. Roads are icy and extreme caution is advised.
