Arlene Mae Larson
Arlene Mae Larson, the daughter of the late Robert and Adeline (Olson) Larson, was born on June 28, 1947, at Grafton, ND. She attended school and grew to womanhood at St. Thomas, ND, and was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith. On June 28, 1965, Arlene was united in marriage to Lewis ("Butch') Birdsell at Coeur D' Adele, Idaho. She was later married to Lenny Bagaas. Arlene resided at Donaldson, MN, and Bedias, TX. She was a member of the Kennedy V.F.W. Auxiliary and of the American Dairy Goat Association. She was employed for several years by the Burlington Northern Railroad and also as an over-the-road truck driver. Due to health problems, she has most recently resided with her daughter, Dela, at Mendota, IL, and passed away at her daughter's home on Friday morning, December 22, 2006, at the age of 59 years, 5 months, and 24 days. She is survived by two daughters: Dela (Jose') Serrano, of Mendota, and Kelly (Wayne) Hanson, of Karlstad; two sons: Bradley Birdsell, of Mendota and Robert Birdsell, of Bedias; five brothers: Richard (Janelle) Larson, Spokane, WA; James and Erick Larson, both of Donaldson; Kim (Sherry) Larson, of Warren, MN; and Greg (Sheila) Larson, of Williams, MN; two sisters: Sharon (Glen) DeMar, Knapp, WI and Donna (Tom) Odegard, of Troy, MT; 16 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; in addition to several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Shelly, in May of 1999. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 30, at the Collins FuneralChapel in Karlstad with visitation two hours prior to the services. Interment will be in the Jupiter Mission Cemetery near Kennedy with Collins Funeral Home of Karlstad in charge of arrangements. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, December 26, at the Holy Cross Church in Mendota, IL.
