For all of you that are appalled and and disgusted by this type of language and behavior, we can only blame ourselves and society. Swearing and vulgarity has become "normal" in today's world. You ever listen to how kids talk about and to each other? Yeah, for some of us it's disgusting but to them its just talk. And guess what...we can only blame ourselves for not teaching and demanding from our children the values that we hold so dear. You can't blame drinking or anything else. The problem started a generation or so ago and it won't be solved by complaining about student and fan behavior at the Ralph!!!

Scott E. If you are going to comment on something I said, please get it straight. I didn't say students were allowed to drink at the REA. I didn't even say that alcohol should be gone. I said eliminating the alcohol would NOT solve the problems. Please read carefully!

Hey Ronny, is your name short for R.E.T.A.R.D? Cause you are one. You're comments are at the IQ level of a 6th grader. I'm telling your mom that you are on the computer. You'll be grounded for a month and then you won't be able to act like an idiot on these article comment sections. Go watch spongebob or something. This kind of hockey is for big kids and people who love the Sioux. Get a life Ronny

These morons need to focus on providing better security at REA instead of trying to curb obscenities. The only punches thrown should be on the ice, not in parking lot after the games. Get your priorities straight UND..

This is the silliest thing I've ever heard. Vulgarities are just words...letters strung together to form syllables. They have no power over you. They can only hurt you if you let them. Didn't we all learn the "sticks and stones" lesson as kids?

Oh crap! They are going to ruin all my fun! I look forward to yelling obscenities in front of adults and children. Since it is done in mass, it makes it okay to do it. Right? They do it elsewhere, must be acceptable then. Hey, I'm over 18 and I can do whatever I want! Don't like my swearing? Go somewhere else! Pathetic.

this is the 2nd dumbest article I have read this week. The dumbest article I have read this week was the one that led up to this one. If you cant stand the atmosphere at the hockey arena, DONT GO TO THE GAMES!

Jason...just who do you think financially supports that hockey team you like to cheer on? It ain't the college students. Get a clue. But I will compliment you on your extensive research into the financial gain from alcohol sales, which surely, must be a million dollars or more, as you have declared. I'll bet you're on the honor roll and you'l make a fine insurance company representative someday-unless of course you're a minority-but then you can clean up after hockey games, and then you'll see them for FREE!

Do any of you realize how much money the REA would lose if they stopped serving alcohol??? I do not know the exact figures but I am guessing its over a million a year that the REA makes in alcohol sales alone.. Terrible idea... This is COLLEGE hockey and we are college students..this is our fun and entertainment in Grand Forks... I have never once Drank at/ before a hockey game, but I will always do whatever chant is going on and whatever helps us get an edge over any opponant.. Students take pride in the Sioux Hockey team

Right ON Ryan! Not selling alcohol will encourage binge drinking and alcohol poisonoing. So, enough binge drinking and alcohol poisoning happening to obnoxious fans, and the problem gets solved and they either are passed out and can't make it to the game, drink themselves into an alcohol related coma, or drink themselves to death! Either way, the fans who enjoy hockey for what it is rather than excuse to act like an inconsiderate and narcissitic slob, win. You're the thinker of the day!
