It is totally understandable that people would be upset about executive compensation, and it is reprehensible that many ceo's and their ilk have taken advantage of their companies to the detriment of all. However, this bill is dangerous because, as the first commenter has pointed out, the worker can be badgered in an effort to get that person to vote a certain way. Whatever you think of big business and the chamber of commerce, you better rethink what you want. Someone compared the US to Europe and I don't think that is where we want to go. Unemployment is really high in many European nations (much higher than what we are experiencing now) and their tax rates are much higher there as well. The great thing about our country is that, if you decide to take a risk and put up your own capital and skill to build a company, then you should be rewarded for that risk. Most businesses treat their employees fairly and compensate them appropriately. Let's not make it harder for our businesses to make things work by increasing the cost of doing their business. Now is definitely not the time.

This is supported by the Chamber of Commerce(Corruption) and Big Business-need I say more. When have these Fat Cats ever helped the working man. Support the Employee Free Choice Act. 20 years ago the average worker made 40 times less than the CEO-now its 400 times less. Its time the wealth of this nation was divided more fairly. Those republican talk show hosts are pretty good at getting sheep to vote against their own interests.

Thank you Buddy for the best explanation of this issue I have read. Maybe their undemocratic attitude comes from the fact that 5% of the pop. owns 60% of the wealth of this country and thus only 7% of workers are unionized whereas in Europe it is 80% or more.
