Local golfers affected by USGA ban of anchored putting

Some of the best golfers in the area likely will be maneuvering the greens in a different way soon. The United States Golf Association adopted a rule Tuesday that outlaws anchoring a putter against a golfer’s body, a style that has been used by four of the last six major champions.
