Annual food drive starting March 21st

Boy Scouts, UND students, and other volunteers from the Greater Grand Forks area will collect food to restock shelves at local food cupboards. Volunteers will hang informational door hangers starting today March 21 and return to those homes Saturday to collect food donations. Residents should place non-perishable food items in a bag outside the door no later than 9 a.m. Saturday, officials said.

Residents who do not receive a Scouting for Food door hanger can participate by purchasing ready-made food bags at Hugo’s and Super One stores or by taking bags filled with food and personal care items to a Gate City Bank location.
