ANNIVERSARY: Joseph and Florence Riske

65th Wedding Anniversary

Joseph and Florence Riske were married 2-9-1948 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Grand Forks, ND. They have six children, 17 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. They will be celebrating their special day with their children and grandchildren.

For 35 years Joe and Florence lived on a small farm in Fisher, MN. All six of their children graduated from Fisher High School. Aside from working the farm, Joe made his living roofing many of the buildings around Grand Forks and the surrounding communities. Florence has been making "Chippers" at Widman's Candy Store for many years. In addition, you can still find her serving food at the fish fry at the east side VFW, where she has also worked for many years.

Every Friday morning all six sons and daughters meet at Joe & Florence's at 7:00 AM. They are frequently joined by various spouses, nieces or nephews that are available. Everyone uses the time to touch base with each other, plan upcoming events and just enjoy each other's company. A very close knit family that are friends as well as being parents and siblings. A legacy started by Joe & Florence Riske.
