Northeastern North Dakota is under a travel alert issued by the state Department of Transportation today.

Snow, blowing snow and reduced visibility is making driving difficult, and the DOT advises drivers to reduce their speeds according to the conditions in the areas surrounding Grand Forks, Devils Lake, Rugby, Carrington, Cavalier and Pembina.

Conditions allow travel, but could deteriorate later in the night, according to the DOT.

Up-to-date information on road conditions is on the website www.dot.nd.gov or available by calling 511.
