OSLO, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Health lifted its boil order for Oslo’s water supply on Thursday afternoon.
The boil order was put in place Wednesday after several water line breaks since Saturday. The town of about 300 people also suffered another water stoppage Thursday morning for about two hours, but it was restored 11:30 a.m.
“We’re back in business,” said Karen Cote, city clerk. “Hopefully, we’re back for good. But it’s anybody’s guess with the weather forecasted to turn cold again this weekend.
“We’re keeping our fingers crossed.”
Local officials believe the cold weather has contributed to the water breaks.
