Chris Sims and Jessica Johnson announce their engagement.

Parents are Rodger and Bonnie Sims, Fargo, ND; Craig and Shari Johnson, East Grand Forks, MN.

Jessica graduated in 2004 from Sacred Heart High School in East Grand Forks, MN. She then attended the University of North Dakota, where she received a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She is currently a registered nurse at Essentia Health in Fargo, ND. She will graduate December 2012 with a Masters of Science in Nursing as a family nurse practitioner from the University of Cincinnati, OH.

Chris graduated in 1999 from Central High School in Grand Forks, ND. In 2007, he graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Human Performance and Fitness. He attended Lake Region State College, where he received his North Dakota Peace Officer certification in 2011. He is currently employed as a deputy sheriff of Morton County, ND.

The wedding will take place in Grand Forks, ND on December 28, 2012.
