Wilma Crummy of Argyle, MN died December 9, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Center in Warren, MN.
Wilma Wiechmann was born January 22, 1924 in Anderten, Germany, immigrating with her parents to the United States later that year, entering through Ellis Island. She grew to adulthood near Granada, MN, attending country school, graduating from Fairmont High School and attending the University of Minnesota, where she studied Home Economics Education. On October 7, 1945, she married Leo Crummy in St. Paul, MN. When Leo left the Army Air Corps, they returned to the Argyle area from Sebring, FL. They farmed the Fred Diedrich farm until they purchased the Frank Brick farm, where they lived the rest of their lives.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Wilhelmina Wiechmann; husband, Leo Crummy and sister and brother-in-law Ardis and David Nordvall.
She is survived by her sister, Renata Benck (George) of Fairmont, MN; brother Paul Wiechmann (Pat) of Apache Junction, AZ; children David Crummy (Margaret) of Monticello, MN, Maureen Rose (John) of Little Rock, AR, Paul Crummy (Pat) and Kevin Crummy (Helen) of Argyle, MN; and Charles Crummy (Laurie) of Grand Forks, ND. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and 23 nieces and nephews.
MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: 11:00 AM on Monday, December 17, 2012 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Argyle, MN.
VISITATION: After 5:00 PM with a 6:00 PM prayer service on Sunday at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Argyle and one hour before services at the church on Monday.
INTERMENT: St. Rose Cemetery, Argyle, MN.
