SIOUX FALLS — South Dakota transportation officials have reopened all stretches of Interstates 90 and 29 that were closed due to a weekend snow storm.

The last closed stretch, on I-29 between Watertown and Sioux Falls, reopened Monday morning.

The storm dumped more than a foot of snow on parts of South Dakota. Transportation officials are urging drivers to use caution because many roads remain icy.

The American News reports that many schools in the Aberdeen area started classes late on Monday. Aberdeen got just under 8 inches of snow on Saturday, breaking a 51-year-old city record for the date.

The Daily Republic reports schools in Mitchell also opened late.
