Virgel and Janet Plante were married Nov. 23, 1957 at St. Mary’s Church in Grand Forks.

55th Wedding Anniversary

Virgel and Janet Plante were married Nov. 23, 1957 at St. Mary’s Church in Grand Forks. They have five children of their own and were foster parents to 10 others over the years. One foster son, Dale Friesen lived with them 35 years and passed away in 2007. Their children are: Lori (Mike) Reese of Grand Forks, Daniel (Gloria) Plante of Mentor, MN, Dennis Plante of St. Paul, MN, Tammi Wamstad of Gulf Shores, AL, and Kylie Wamstad of Hendrum, MN. They also have 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren with two more additions coming by May 2013.
