RiverView Health in Crookston will offer free health screenings and a talk on colds and flu Thursday as part of the annual Philanthropy Day and Health Fair.
From 9 a.m. to noon, the health fair will feature free blood pressure, blood cholesterol, blood-sugar checks and bone density screens.
Staff members from several departments will be on hand to answer questions about RiverView Health’s services.
Flu shots will be given for $30 at the North Clinic.
At a noon luncheon, April Grunhovd will present at talk, “Cold or flu? What to do? Get the facts before those germs get you,” and share tips on how to stay healthy.
She is manager of infection prevention and employee health at RiverView Health.
Pre-registration for lunch is required; call 218-281-9405 or 1 (800) 743-6551 extension 9405. Guests can purchase a bag lunch for $3 or bring their own.
Local radio station KROX will broadcast live on site during the event, promoting the health system’s services and foundation.
Attendees are asked to enter the building through the main lobby on the south side.
