Alia Harlan and Nathan Cota, Portland, N.D., announce their engagement.

Parents are Carla Moeller and David Moeller, Mayville, N.D.; Robert and Lisa Harlan, Cleveland Heights, Ohio; and Gale and Jerome Cota, Thief River Falls, Minn.

Alia graduated in 2007 from MayPort CG High School, Mayville. In 2011 she graduated from the North Dakota State College of Science, Wahpeton, with associate degrees in pre-social work and mental health care. She is currently attending Mayville State University where she is pursuing a degree in psychology. She is employed as a dining services supervisor at MSU.

Nathan graduated in 2002 from Lincoln High School, Thief River Falls. In 2006 he graduated from Northland Community and Technical College, Thief River Falls, with a degree in auto body collision technology. He graduated in 2011 from North Dakota State College of Science with an associate’s degree as an electrical master technician. He is an apprentice electrician at Precision Electric, Mayville.

The wedding will be Saturday (Oct. 27) at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, followed by a reception at the Eagles Aerie and Auxiliary, both in Thief River Falls.
