GRAND FORKS — Today is National Health Service Corps Community Day. More than 40,000 medical, dental and mental and behavioral health professionals have served in the Corps nationwide since its inception.

The national program provides scholarships and help with loan repayment to qualified students and providers who want to serve people in communities with limited access to care.

Northeast Human Service Center, which provides a wide array of human services to people in a four-county region, is one of the National Health Service Corps approved sites.

We are grateful for the Corps’ support and proud to be an approved site member.

Residents of the Grand Forks benefit from increased access to care as a result of this program. Please join us in celebrating National Health Services Corps Community Day.

Desire Jagow-France
