Jon Green, Grand Forks, letter: Thanks for making Harvest Gala a success

GRAND FORKS — A sincere and heartfelt thank you goes out to our community for its support of Altru Health Foundation’s eighth annual Harvest Gala.

More than $174,000 was raised to support the needs of Altru patients getting renal dialysis treatments. One hundred percent of the money raised will go to financially qualified patients to help them with expenses not covered by insurance.

This is only possible because of the community’s support of Altru’s nonprofit mission of improving health and enriching lives. We are grateful for everyone’s generosity and for our partnership with the Grand Forks Park District and sponsorships from businesses and individuals, volunteers and donors.

Special recognition and appreciation goes to Rohinee Damle. As the chair of all eight Harvest Galas, she has grown the gala into a premier event. Her leadership, energy and passion for making a difference is commendable.
