ENGAGEMENT: Messner-Johlfs

Douglas and Kathleen Messner, Pekin, Ken and Lana Zins and Buck and Connie Johlfs, Fulda, Minn., would like to announce the engagement of their children, Ashley Beth Messner and Brock Jon Johlfs, Bismarck.

Ashley is a Dakota Prairie High School graduate. She is employed with the North Dakota Army National Guard as a human resources assistant. She is currently pursuing her degree in criminal justice.

Brock is a Fulda High School graduate and a graduate of Alexandria Technical College in law enforcement and is currently pursuing his bachelor's in criminal justice. He is employed with the Burleigh County Sheriff's Department and is a staff sergeant in the North Dakota Army National Guard.

The wedding will take place on Oct. 13 near Pekin.
