Wendy Teresa Honrath and Derek Wayne Smith, both of Grand Forks, announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage. Their parents are Richard Honrath and Cherry Honrath, Mandan, N.D. and Wayne and Margy Smith, Newfolden, Minn.

Wendy graduated from Flasher High School and received her bachelor's degree from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, N.D. She is currently a member of the leadership team at Amazon.com in Grand Forks.

Derek graduated from Marshall County Central High School in Newfolden, Minn. and received his associate degree from Northland Community and Technical College in East Grand Forks, Minn. He is employed as a technician by Reliance Telephone, East Grand Forks, Minn.

The wedding will be October 13 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Grand Forks, N.D.
