Rhombus Guys defended its title in the People’s Choice category for the sixth straight year at the Best Pizza in Grand Forks Contest that was held Saturday at Town Square.

Rhombus’ T Rex pizza received 221 votes to win the competition. Coming in second was Deek’s pepperoni pizza (136 votes) followed by Mamma Maria’s Mamma’s Meatsa pie (105 votes.

More than 600 people attended the event, which previously had been held at The Link on Cherry Street.

The contest was sponsored by Grand Forks Housing Authority and Grand Forks Homes Inc.

Here are the results in the other five categories:

Best Dessert:

First place: Mamma Maria’s, Caramel Apple.

Second place: Pizza Ranch, Blueberry.

Third place: Rhombus Guys, S’mores.

Best Vegetarian:

First place: Pizza Ranch, Tuscan Roma.

Second place: Green Mill, Garlic Roasted Potato.

Third place: Marco’s, Marco’s.

Best Crust

First place: Marco’s.

Second place (tie): Rhombus Guys and Deek’s.

Most Creative:

First place: Marco’s, Marco’s White Cheesy.

Second place: Pizza Ranch, Perogie.

Third place: Mamma Maria’s, Mamma’s Steak & Potato.

Kid’s Choice:

Third place: Mamma Maria’s, S’mores.

Second place: Green Mill, S’mores.

Third place: Deek’s, Cheese.
