WILLISTON, N.D. — Williston State College expects to be smoke-free by the end of the year.
Marketing Director Kayla Retzer tells the Minot Daily News that the change won't be official until the faculty, staff and student senates approve it, as well as the executive Cabinet. She says that is expected to happen next month.
College President Ray Nadolny says in a statement that Williston State is one of the last schools in the university system to still allow tobacco on campus. He says the student senate initially approached him about making a change. Human Resources Manager Michelle Remus says there has been no opposition.
