Serve these with fresh peaches and cream for an indulgent breakfast.
Cream Cheese Biscuits
3 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 stick margarine
1 cup flour
Beat cream cheese, margarine together until fully mixed, fluffy (about 3 minutes with electric mixer). Blend in flour, beating just to incorporate. Shape into 2-inch wide rolls in waxed paper. If storing for more than day, place waxed paper rolls in airtight container in refrigerator. Or simply chill several hours before slicing with wet knife into rounds about ½ inch thick. Place on ungreased cookie sheet about ½ inch apart, bake in heated 400-degree oven about 10 minutes, or until browned as desired.
Yield: About 2 dozen small biscuits.
