Kyle Hammer of Fairdale, N.D. and Christine L’Abbe of Duluth, M.N., are pleased to announce their engagement and upcoming marriage August 18 in Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary in Duluth.

Her parents are Stephen and Jean L’Abbe of Duluth, M.N. His parents are Greg and Nancy Hammer of Fairdale.

The future bride, a 2005 graduate of Marshal School in Duluth, graduated from the University of St Thomas in St. Paul in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and is a fourth-year dental student at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in Minneapolis.

The future groom, a 2004 graduate of Adams-Edmore High School in Edmore, graduated from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in biology and is also a fourth-year dental student at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in Minneapolis.
