This recipe from the National Watermelon Promotion Board would be a good way to celebrate National Dairy Month.

Watermelon Dippers

1 cup (8 ounces) dairy sour cream

4 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Watermelon sticks or small wedges

Blend together the sour cream, sugar and vanilla in a small serving bowl. Use as a dip for the watermelon.

Yield: Serves 8.

Approximate nutritional analysis per serving (using ¾ cup watermelon per serving: 70 calories, 61.1 percent of calories from fat, 5 grams fat, 20 milligrams cholesterol, no sodium, 6 grams carbohydrates, no dietary fiber, no protein.
