Christy Thompson and Brian Vecchio, Colorado Springs, CO, announce their engagement.

Parents are Gary and Lori Thompson, Valley City, ND and Ken and Brenda Vecchio, Colorado Springs, CO.

Christy graduated in 2003 from Valley City High School and from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, in 2008 with a master's degree in occupational therapy. She is employed as an occupational therapist at Penrose Hospital, Colorado Springs.

Brian graduated in 2001 from Manitou Springs High School, CO and from Colorado State University, Pueblo in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in exercise science and health promotion. He is currently pursuing his master's degree in educational leadership. He is employed as a physical education and health teacher, and basketball and golf coach with the Manitou Springs School District.

A June 9, 2012, wedding is planned at the Garden of the Gods Club, Colorado Springs, CO.
