I think Marilyn Hagerty represents North Dakota with a lot of class and dignity. In many ways, she charmingly embodies the spirit of North Dakota people and their values.
Her honest-yet-kind analyses are a wonderful alternative to the pretentiousness and snobbery that is so sadly indicative of various other regions of our fair nation.
She has quietly labored in obscurity (which, again, is so analogous to North Dakota itself) for so long — who better to enjoy a day-in-the-sun?
What a refreshing break from rock stars, overpaid athletes and other over-privileged persons. Bravo, Marilyn.
