Two teenagers remained hospitalized Tuesday, one in serious condition, after a pickup they were in rolled Monday night two miles east of the city of Devils Lake.
The Highway Patrol said a 2008 Dodge pickup carrying six Devils Lake teenagers lost control at 9:20 p.m. on a gravel road in Ramsey County, fishtailed and rolled into the ditch.
All six were taken to Mercy Hospital in Devils Lake and two were taken to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.
Blake Skadsen, 15, who was seated in the back seat on the driver’s side, is in serious condition at Altru in the Intensive Care Unit.
Samantha Hoffner, 14, who was seated in the front middle seat, is listed in satisfactory condition at Altru.
The driver Bradley Pfeifer, 14, was treated at Mercy and released. He was licensed to drive.
Aaron Klebe, 16, who was seated in the front passenger seat, was treated and released.
Kirk Gordon, 15, seated in the rear middle of the vehicle, and Colen Trottier, 15, who was seated in the passenger, were both also treated and released at Mercy.
None of the teenagers were wearing seat belts.
The Highway Patrol said the group was out on a joy ride and there will be minor traffic citations issued in the case.
