National champ NDSU ranked No. 1 in final FCS poll; UND, USD fail to crack top 25

The Bison got all 25 first-place votes in the final poll. They were followed by Sam Houston State, Georgia Southern, Montana and Northern Iowa.

FARGO — It's a foregone conclusion, but North Dakota State is the No. 1 team in the final Football Championship Subdivision coaches' poll.

NDSU beat Sam Houston State 17-6 over the weekend to win the FCS championship. The Bison got all 25 first-place votes in the final poll. They were followed by Sam Houston State, Georgia Southern, Montana and Northern Iowa.

The University of North Dakota and the University of South Dakota received votes in the poll but didn't crack the Top 25.
