CHEF JEFF — ONE BYTE AT A TIME: Marmalade-Brie with Crackers

This easy appetizer will keep guests happy in the hour before your dinner is served.

This easy appetizer will keep guests happy in the hour before your dinner is served.

Marmalade-Brie with Crackers

½ pound wedge or round of brie

2 tablespoons orange marmalade

1 tablespoon packed brown sugar

2 teaspoons maple syrup

2 tablespoons chopped pecans

Sturdy crackers for serving (such as stoned wheat)

Place brie on a microwave-safe serving dish.

In small bowl, mix together marmalade, brown sugar, syrup and pecans. Spread on top of brie.

Heat in microwave about 1 minute, or until brie and topping become soft. Serve with crackers.

Yield: Serves 6.
