Tool helps rural health offices track data
A data management tool developed at UND will be offered to state offices of rural health in all 50 states through a new license agreement with the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health.
TruServeSM, an online tracking system, allows organizations to track activities such as information dissemination, presentations, publications and services. It also can monitor time, budget, programs and goals. The information then can be used to create custom reports, maps and charts that detail the impact of programs at the community level. TruServeSM may be tailored for each organization.
Med dean holds ‘Joggin’ with Josh’
Joshua Wynne, UND vice president for health affairs and dean of the School of Medicine and Health Sciences, invites all health sciences students, faculty and staff to advocate healthful lifestyles by joining him for Joggin’ with Josh, an informal 5K or 10K walk, jog or run at 4 p.m. Sept. 8.
A sign-up table will be in the School of Medicine and Health Sciences’ main lobby facing Columbia Road. Sign-up and T-shirt pickup starts at 4 p.m. The dean will speak to the group before the event starts at 4:30 p.m.
Participants will gather on the front steps before taking off on a route along the outskirts of campus. A water station will be located at the halfway point of the 5K; water and healthful snacks will be available after the event.
UND Counseling Center accredited
The UND University Counseling Center has been accredited by the International Association of Counseling Services Inc., a Virginia-based organization of U.S., Canadian and Australian counseling agencies.
The center was evaluated by IACS and found to offer competent and reliable professional services to its clientele, according to a UND press release. The University Counseling Center offers UND students individual, group and couples counseling and medication evaluation, among other services.
