This tropical fruit dip is great with chips.

This tropical fruit dip is great with chips.

Mango Salsa

2 cups diced mango

2 cups diced fresh pineapple

1 cup diced red bell pepper

4 tablespoons rice vinegar or white wine vinegar

2 tablespoons minced fresh cilantro

2 to 3 tablespoons sugar (to taste)

½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Combine the ingredients in a glass bowl. Cover and set aside for 2 hours before using.

Yield: Serves 10.

Approximate nutritional analysis per serving: 53 calories, 3 percent of calories from fat, 0.2 grams fat (no saturated), no cholesterol, 0.5 grams protein, 13 grams carbohydrates, 1.2 grams fiber, 2 milligrams sodium.
