Minnesota Highway 1 detour between Alvarado, Warren removed Friday

But a new Highway 1 detour, between Alvarado and Oslo, Minn., will replace it Saturday, the Minnesota Department of Transportation said Friday.

A detour on Minnesota Highway 1 between Warren and Alvarado, Minn., in Marshall County is being removed today, the Minnesota Department of Transportation

A new detour, between Alvarado and Oslo, Minn., will replace it Saturday, the Department of Transportation said.

The detours are to accommodate road resurfacing.

The second detour will route traffic south on state Highway 220 from Alvarado for about eight miles, then west and northwest on Polk County Road 22; Polk County Road 22 will turn into Marshall County Road 9 and lead back onto Highway 1 just east of Oslo.

The project is expected to be completed by June 30.

Motorists are advised to plan for extra travel time when detours are in place.
