THE EATBEAT: About Tower Travel Cafe and Bakery
By: Herald Staff Report,
Tower Travel Cafe and Bakery
Interstate 94, exit 307, near Tower City, N.D.
— Owners: 15 local investors.
— Manager: Alan Lovro.
— Hours: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
— Telephone: (701) 747-6800.
— Report card: This I-94 landmark that has been rebuilt is cleaner and brighter but lacks some of the allure of days when you could sidle up to truckers and farmers at a big horseshoe counter and eavesdrop. Still with meat-and-potatoes-style food, pies are the big featured draw. Prices are moderate high. Service is pretty good. The good news is that restrooms in adjoing convenience store are oceans better than they were in the old place.
