Delorice LaFern Johnson

Delorice LaFern Johnson was born December 19, 1928 in Griggs County, ND the daughter of Bendick and Ida (Arlene) Olson.

Delorice was joined in marriage to Harold Johnson on January 1, 1947. She was a homemaker and raised four sons. Harold passed away in 1994. She enjoyed bingo, pinochle, music, sporting events, playing games with children and grand children, quilting and her bible study group. She was always a willing helper and loved being around people. Her love for life and laughter will be missed by all.

Delorice passed away at the age of 82 on Sunday, May 29, 2011 at Valley Eldercare Center in Grand Forks. Delorice is survived by Keith of Mandan, ND, Mark (Lori) of Devils Lake, Scott (Theresa) of Peoria, AZ, and daughter in law Peggy Johnson of McVille. Grandchildren include Trina, Mandi (Josh), Mackenzie, Brittany, Tanner (Robyn), Paul, Cyle, Ryan (Emily), Jason, Jake and Elijah. Great grandchildren include Ethan, Madison, and Kade; one brother Willard (Vernita) Olson and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husband Harold, son Steven, grandson Luke and brothers and sisters; Jenette, Blanche, Stella, Ingmore, Olive, Thorman, Frank, Albert, Kenneth and Alf.

Delorice's memorial service will be Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 3:00 PM in the American Lutheran Church, Tolna, ND.
