You can have a great time and make a difference by volunteering at the Grand Cities Art Fest to be held June 11 and 12 in downtown Grand Forks and East Grand Forks.

Grand Cities Art Fest features more than 150 fine art and high-quality craft vendors, food vendors, kids activities, live entertainment and an Arts in Action square. Volunteers are needed to assist with blocking streets, provide information to guests, sell merchandise, assist with event set-up and take-down, act as booth sitters and more.

The Community Volunteer Center at RSVP+ will field calls from potential volunteers, placing them with an activity based on their interests, skills and hours they can work.

“Events like Art Fest generate particular interest in volunteering because folks can show up, help out and feel good about contributing to their community,” Kurtis Shelton, volunteer event chair, said in a news release.

Call the RSVP+ Community Volunteer Coordinator at (701) 787-0043 for a variety of shifts and duties.

The Grand Cities Art Fest is produced by the North Valley Arts Council, and sponsored in part by the City of Grand Forks, the City of East Grand Forks, the Xcel Energy Foundation, Leighton Broadcasting, the Myra Foundation, the Greater Grand Forks Convention and Visitors Bureau, and Alerus Financial, Valley News Live, Clear Channel Communication, Cabelas, Hugo’s, HB Sound and Lights, RSVP+, ArtWise, and Pepsi.
