With warm weather just around the corner …

White Sangria

2 750-millileter bottles dry white wine, preferably Pinot Grigio

1 1/3 cups orange juice

½ cup triple sec

¼ cup brandy

½ cup sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1½ oranges, sliced

½ lemon, sliced

½ apple, sliced

Large bunch grapes, stemmed

In a large pitcher, whisk together the wine, orange juice, triple sec and brandy. Add the sugar and vanilla extract and continue to whisk until the sugar is dissolved. Add the orange, lemon, apple and grapes. Serve over ice with fruit slices as garnish.

Yield: Serves 10.

Approximate nutritional analysis per serving: 259 calories, 1 gram protein, 30 grams carbohydrates, 1 gram fiber, no fat, no cholesterol, 24 grams sugar, 10 milligrams sodium.
